Cause of worry: Spike of +ve cases in health workers

NEW DELHI: The number of healthcare workers testing positive has reached worrisome figures, with cases emerging almost everyday.

Here is the list of new cases that have emerged:

AIIMS

Over 100 security guards posted at AIIMS have been quarantine­d after several security personnel residing in Delhi’s Kotla Mubarakpur tested positive for COVID-19, officials said. Two security guards had tested positive on Saturday. Meanwhile, more than 20 healthcare workers, including nurses, hospital attendant, security guards and a doctor have tested positive so far. The guards have been advised home isolation after 12 of them tested positive. While tracing their contacts, the administra­tion found that many of them are from Kotla Mubarakpur, which is among the 96 containmen­t zones in Delhi.

Kasturba Gandhi Hospital

Three Doctors of Kasturba Gandhi hospital test positive of Coronaviru­s in Delhi. A total of five doctors from the hospital have been tested positive so far.

Hindu Rao Hospital

Three more doctors and husbands of two nursing officers working at Hindu Rao Hospital tested positive of the virus. The nurses had already been tested positive whereas four doctors in total are positive.

Jag Pravesh Hospital

At Jag Pravesh Hospital four resident doctors have been tested positive taking the toll to six healthcare workers. This also includes five doctors of the hospital.

Other hospitals

A medical intern at Lady Hardinge Hospital tested positive. The hospital already has 15 cases previously. Meanwhile a second case emerged at Batra Hospital after a nurse tested positive. In the last 24 hours, 682 patients were found cured. This takes our total recovery rate to 26.59%.
