12 positive cases from Noida, tally 179

NOIDA: Twelve positive Covid19 cases were reported across Noida and Greater Noida on Monday taking the rise in positive cases to 179. Officials said that a resident of Ghaziabad who was referred to a hospital in Gautam Buddh Nagar around two days ago has died of Covid.

As per health officials, four positive cases, including three females have been reported from Sector 30, Noida while rest of the cases have come out from different sectors. “Out is the 82 reports received, 12 new patients have tested positive. They include a 22 year male from Advocate Colony Pi 1 Greater Noida, a 44 year male from Salarpur village Noida, 51 year old male from Pi 3 Jal Vayu Vihar Greater Noida, 24-yearold male from Sector 22, 42-yearold male from sector 45 Noida, a 26-year-old male from CISF Surajpur Greater Noida, a 26 year old male from GIMS hostel Greater Noida, a 28-year-old female from Sector 30 Noida, a 19-year-old male from Nithari sector 31 Noida, and three females from Sector 30 in Noida,” said Dr. Sunil Dohare, district surveillan­ce officer.

Meanwhile, first death due to Covid has been confirmed by doctors from Ghaziabad.

“A patient of district hospital in Ghaziabad was admitted in a private hospital in Noida around 2 days ago after he was referred to a higher medical center. He was detected Covid positive in a private lab in Delhi. He expired on Sunday night. Ghaziabad medical teams have been notified and no deaths due to Covid in Noida or Greater Noida has been confirmed till now,” said Dr. DK Ohri, chief medical officer, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
