7 FRESH CASES, OVER 100 RECOVERIES IN PARAMILITA­RY

NEW DELHI: Seven fresh cases were reported from paramilita­ry forces taking the tally to more than 1,000. Meanwhile, more than 100 new recoveries were made from forces.

According to BSF, two new cases were reported in last 24 hours whereas since Sunday, 44 personnel have recovered. "192 personnel have recovered so far and 163 active cases are still there," official said. The CRPF also saw 57 more recoveries, taking down the tally of its overall active cases to 116 apart from the death of a Sub-inspector rank official last month. So far 294 personnel were affected by virus and 116 have recovered so far. According to data, three new fresh cases were reported from CRPF.

The CISF also reported four recoveries and its active cases now stand at 114. Two new cases were also reported in the last 24 hours. SSB reported no fresh case on Sunday and 21 of its personnel are under treatment for the disease. The ITBP saw no new case and 164 of its personnel are under treatment for COVID-19 at present. So far 22 personnel have recovered from the deadly virus. DG ITBP S S Deswal, also issued a statement for his under-treatment officials saying they should not feel demoralise­d and the ITBP will ensure the best medical treatment and health care facilities for them.

Significan­tly, a worrying trend has emerged in the Coronaviru­s cases being detected among members of these forces across the Capital – one where the initial source of infection remains untraceabl­e.
