Covid-19 in CAPF: 17 recovered on Wednesday

NEW DELHI: A total of 22 new coronaviru­s cases and five new recoveries were reported among CISF personnel in the last 24 hours, taking total such cases in the central force across the country to 95. Of the total 95 CISF corona positive personnel, 57 are posted in Delhi, 26 in Mumbai, four in Jharkhand, three in Kolkata, two in Chennai and one each in Hyderabad, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh.

Among the 57 infected CISF men in Delhi, 28 were deputed at Delhi airport and 21 at DMRC and eight on different Central Government Building Security (CGBS) duty. Out of 26 infected CISF personnel in Mumbai, 14 were deployed at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilde­rs Limited (MDL), five at Mumbai airport, three at Hindustan Petroleum/bharat Petroleum Corporatio­n Limited.

In Indo-tibetan Border Police (ITBP) no new case was reported and 13 personnel have recovered in the last 24 hours. The number of active case in ITBP is 62 and 134 of its personnel have recovered since COVID-19 outbreak.

In the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), 26 positive cases were reported. From Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) no fresh case were reported. There are 40 active cases and 16 personnel have recovered.

Border Security Force (BSF) gave no update on COVID-19 status. Till Tuesday, a total of 317 personnel have recovered from the pandemic till now and 94 active cases were there. All infected personnel are under treatment in COVID-19 designated hospitals,” the official said adding that two deaths were also reported from the force.
