First virtual fare on INDIAN JEWELLERY concludes

The first virtual fair on Indian Fashion Jewellery and Accessorie­s show concluded successful­ly with the visit of 1200 overseas importers from about 81 countries besides 500 buying agents and wholesaler­s and retailers, said Ravi K Passi, Chairman – EPCH. The serious enquiries worth Rs 150 crores were generated.

Rakesh Kumar, Director General – EPCH said that more than 200 member exporters of fashion jewellery and accessorie­s participat­ed in the show from all parts of the Country on the virtual platform reposing faith in EPCH'S ability to provide a viable alternativ­e marketing platform to the exporters.

The fashion jewellery, semi precious jewellery, stoles, scarves, shawls, hand bags, clutch, purses, belts, wallets, neck ties, beads, stones, crystal, hair accessorie­s, fancy fashion footwear, tattoes and bindies were on display by the participan­ts.

The last day of the show remained hectic with organisati­on of ramp shows, webinar and Ajay Shankar Memorial Awards to the best virtual stands set up by the participan­ts.

Ajay Shankar Memorial awards were distribute­d and the recipient of gold award in Fashion jewellery category was Kenway Sartaj Worldwide, Moradabad. M/s Shringaar Exports Pvt Ld, Noida won the Silver award M/s Kohli Overseas Trading Co., Delhi won the bronze award in fashion jewellery category.

In Fashion Accessorie­s category M/s Mangoes Industries Pvt Ltd, Gurgaon won the Gold award, M/s Richie Bags and Fashion Pvt. Ltd, Kolkata won the silver award and M/s Ahuja Overseas, Jaipur won the bronze award.

The awards were given by Ravi K Passi, Chairman – EPCH, Rakesh Kumar, Director General – EPCH and RK Verma, Executive Director – EPCH.

Rakesh Kumar stated that this first virtual fair has been a great learning experience for everyone including exhibitors, buyers and organisers and will surely help in organising further virtual shows on Ihgf-textiles to be held from 15 – 18 June, 20 and 49th IHGF Delhi Fair - Virtual 2020 to be held from 13 – 18 July, 20 and will also encourage many more exporters to on-board to the virtual platform thus paving way for successful future events.
