Here is the list of top 5 best web shows on ‘Netflix’ that are based on real-life stories.

Glow: Starring Alison Brie, Marc Maron and Betty Gilpin, the web show is based on the real-life story from ‘80s. The ‘Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling’ (GLOW) founded by David Mclane, revolves around a fictionali­sation of the characters. The 8-episode series, which released in 2017, is helmed by Sam Sylvia.

Unbelievab­le: Starring Toni Collette, Merritt Wever and Kaitlyn Dever, ‘Unbelievab­le’ is a true-crime documentar­y. The trailer of the miniseries is sure to send a chill down the spines of watchers. The show is based on the life of a teenager named ‘Kaitlyn Dever’, who reports being raped at her home by a masked intruder. The show gets intriguing when lady officers deal with the case being their badass selves. The miniseries released last year on September 13, 2019.

Mindhunter: Starring Jonathan Groff, Holt Mccallany and Anna Torv, the second season was dropped last year, while the first season was released on October 13, 2017 and the third season is all set to release very soon. The miniseries is based on a truecrime book ‘Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’S Elite Serial Crime Unit’ written by John E Douglas and Mark Olshaker.

Peaky Blinders: Starring Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson and Helen Mccrory, season five was dropped last year on the platform. ‘Peaky Blinders’, which is a British period crime drama TV series, is based on a real story of youth gang named ‘Peaky Blinders’. Five seasons are directed by five people and the first season was release on September 12, 2013.

Stranger Things: Starring Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryde, Noah Schapp and Millie Bobby Brown, ‘Stranger Thimgs’ is a sci-fi/horror series. While it is said to be based on true events, it has been altered a bit. Set in the 1980s in the fictional town of ‘Hawkins’, the show sees the group of boys focused on supernatur­al powers. The story starts off with the disappeara­nce of 12-year-old ‘Will Byers’.
