Over 40 new COVID cases in CAPFS

NEW DELHI: Over 40 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFS). Meanwhile, more than 20 new recoveries were also reported from paramilita­ry forces. Three new positive cases and four fresh recoveries were reported from the Border Security Force (BSF) in the last 24 hours. According to the official, a total of 458 personnel have recovered from the pandemic and 117 active cases were there. All infected personnel are under treatment in COVID19 designated hospital. Three jawans have also died after they got affected by the virus. In ITBP, four new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases in ITBP is 33 and 195 of its personnel have recovered since COVID-19 outbreak and one death was reported in which personnel were tested positive for the virus. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) said that 29 new positive cases were reported from the force. Till Sunday, there were 189 active positive cases, 427 recoveries and four deaths. According to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials, 20 fresh recoveries and 11 fresh cases were reported from the force. The force has a total of 188 active COVID-19 cases, while over 272 personnel have recovered from the disease and four deaths have been reported. SSB did not give any official statement on new cases and fresh recoveries on Sunday. "50 active cases are there in SSB and 63 have recovered so far from the virus till Saturday," the official said. Two deaths also have been reported from the force.
