Over 50 COVID-19 cases in CAPF, 30 fresh recoveries

NEW DELHI: Over 50 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFS). Meanwhile, 30 new recoveries were also reported from paramilita­ry forces.

According to CISF officials, 27 new cases mostly from Chennai, 18 fresh recoveries were reported from the force. The force has a total of 193 active COVID-19 cases, while over 309 personnel have recovered from the disease and five deaths have been reported. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) reported nine fresh recoveries. According to data, currently there are 36 active cases in SSB and 79 have recovered so far from the virus. Two deaths also have been reported from the force.

In Indo-tibetan Border Police (ITBP) five active cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases in ITBP is 40 and 195 of its personnel have recovered since COVID-19 outbreak and one death was reported in which personnel were tested positive for the virus. In Border Security Force (BSF) 27 new cases and three fresh recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours. According to the official, till Tuesday, a total of 465 personnel have recovered from the pandemic and 152 active cases were there. All infected personnel are under treatment in COVID19 designated hospital. Three jawans have also died after they got affected by the virus.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) did not issue any official statement on COVID19 cases or recovery. Till Monday , there were 193 active positive cases, 438 recoveries and four deaths
