53 fresh Covid cases, 25 new recoveries in CAPF

NEW DELHI: As many as 53 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFS). Meanwhile, 25 new recoveries were also reported from paramilita­ry forces.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Wednesday said that there 35 personnel were tested positive for virus in last 24 hours. Till Wednesday, there were 338 active positive cases, 440 recoveries and five deaths. As per force data, one more death was reported from the force but the senior official in CRPF did not shared more details. Earlier this death, 15 jawans of paramilita­ry forces have died after being affected by the virus.

According to CISF officials, 11 new cases, five fresh recoveries were reported from the force. The force has a total of 199 active COVID-19 cases, while over 308 personnel have recovered from the disease and five deaths have been reported. Five fresh recoveries were reported from Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in last 24 hours . According to official, currently there are 31 active cases are there in SSB and 84 have recovered so far from the virus. Two deaths also have been reported from the force. In Indo-tibetan Border Police (ITBP) two new recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases in ITBP is 38 and 197 of its personnel have recovered since COVID-19 outbreak and one death was reported in which personnel were tested positive for the virus.

As many as seven fresh cases and 13 new recoveries were reported from the Border Security Force (BSF) in the last 24 hours. According to the official, till Friday, a total of 478 personnel have recovered from the pandemic and 146 active cases were there. All infected personnel are under treatment in COVID-19 designated hospital. Three jawans have also died after they got affected by the virus.
