117 new Coronaviru­s cases in CAPFS, 1 dies

NEW DELHI: As many as 117 new COVID-19 cases were reported from paramilita­ry forces in last 24 hours. About 28 fresh recoveries were also reported from forces and one death due to the virus was also reported.

In Central Reserve Police Force, (CRPF) one of their jawans died due to virus taking the death toll to six in the force. As many as 31 personnel were tested positive for virus in last 24 hours. Currently there are 369 active positive cases, 440 recoveries and six deaths. Among the paramilita­ry forces or the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFS) this is the 17th death.

As many as 53 new cases and 24 fresh recoveries were reported from the Border Security Force (BSF) in the last 24 hours. According to the official, till Thursday, a total of 502 personnel have recovered from the pandemic and 175 active cases are there in the force.three jawans have also died after they got affected by the virus. All infected personnel are under treatment in COVID-19 designated hospital.

According to CISF officials, 18 new cases and three fresh recoveries were reported from the force. The force has a total of 215 active COVID-19 cases, while 311 personnel have recovered from the disease and five deaths have been reported.

One fresh case and one new recovery was reported from Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in last 24 hours . According to official, currently there are 32 active cases are there in SSB and 85 have recovered so far from the virus. Two deaths also have been reported from the force.

In Indo-tibetan Border Police (ITBP) 14 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases in ITBP is 52 and 197 of its personnel have recovered since COVID-19 outbreak and one death was reported in which personnel were tested positive for the virus.
