Google Chrome en­ables easy ac­cess to down­loaded files on An­droid

Google has up­dated its Chrome Web browser for An­droid, en­abling you to eas­ily ac­cess down­loaded files di­rectly from the new tab page. The lat­est ver­sion also in­cludes sev­eral per­for­mance and sta­bil­ity fixes, de­liv­er­ing an im­proved ex­pe­ri­ence on An­droid de­vices.

The An­droid ver­sion of Chrome 56 (56.0.2924.87) has an up­graded tab page that gives you ac­cess not just to down­loaded files but also to Web pages. The browser also al­lows you to down­load ar­ti­cle sugges­tions by long press­ing them on the new tab page.

Google has ad­di­tion­ally im­proved the Chrome app to let you quickly use emails, ad­dresses and phone num­bers in Web pages by tap­ping on them. The new up­date has a list of other im­prove­ments too. You can catch all the ma­jor changes in the lat­est ver­sion from the Git log. The up­date will reach the Play store soon.
