Lava introduces a phone with the ‘Face unlock’ feature

Indian multinatio­nal mobile manufactur­er, Lava, has launched its latest smartphone, the Lava Z91.

This smartphone comes with a 14.4cm (5.7 inch) HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) FullVision display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D curved glass and a smooth glass finish at the back. Powered with the MediaTek MTK6739 processor, the smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and has a 3GB RAM. The device comes with 32GB internal storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

The highlight of the smartphone is the ‘Face unlock’ feature being available in this price segment. The smartphone gets unlocked by scanning the user’s face in just 0.7 seconds.

The device also offers a fingerprin­t security system at the back, which can be used as a shortcut key to open apps, using any of the five fingers.

The Lava Z91 comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and Flash, along with an 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It also comes with the inbuilt Bokeh feature, which makes the objects in focus stand out from the background.

Powered by a 3000mAh battery, the smartphone offers connectivi­ty options like dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio, a 3.5mm jack and USB 2.0.

The Lava Z91 is available at both online and offline retail stores.
