Hyderabad air­port goes fes­tive

On the oc­ca­sion of Ugadi, a slew of in­no­va­tive ac­tiv­i­ties were done at the Ra­jiv Gandhi In­ter­na­tional Air­port, Hyderabad through­out the du­ra­tion of the fes­ti­val from 7th to 16th April 2013. Atin Pro­mo­tions & Ad­ver­tis­ing Pvt. Ltd. and As­so­ci­ated Ad­ver­tis­ing came up with this in­no­va­tive ap­proach to cel­e­brate Ugadi and wish the pas­sen­gers at the same time. The air­port wore a fes­tive look as a part of th­ese cel­e­bra­tions while the pas­sen­gers were greeted at the de­par­ture en­trance with a colour­ful ran­goli pat­tern dec­o­rated around beau­ti­ful lit urlis. From AC vents to walls and to scaffoldings, the to­tal area was or­na­mented ZLWK IHVWRRQV RI flRZHUV, PDQJR OHDYHV DQG VWUHDPHUV to give the tra­di­tional fes­tive touch. A beau­ti­ful wel­come arch adorned with gar­land of flRZHUV, WDOO YDVHV KROGLQJ ERXTXHWV DQG flRZLQJ FORWK GUDSHV DW WKH VHFXULWy FKHFN DQG D ELJ fiEUH NDODVK hav­ing elab­o­rate de­sign bear­ing a gi­ant co­conut were all strate­gi­cally placed to evoke an ap­peal­ing at­mos­phere. All lifts, pil­lars, board­ing gates, bag­gage re­trieval ar­eas were dec­o­rated with jute chatais and mauli dec­o­ra­tions VR WKDW WKH HQWLUH DUHD JRW fiOOHG ZLWK GLIIHUHQW FRORXUV WR aug­ment the fes­tive look. The ex­pe­ri­en­tial zones linked with the Ugadi fes­ti­val has been cre­ated to con­nect with the pas­sen­gers and en­hance the im­por­tance of the cel­e­bra­tions. For ex­am­ple, a photo booth was set up by In­di­aFirst, the main spon­sor for the event, with ar­range­ments made to get one­self clicked in tra­di­tional at­tire. In keep­ing with the Ugadi cus­tom, a Tarot Card reader was present to foretell for­tune in the days to come. To com­plete the fes­ti­val spirit, a spe­cial area was ear­marked near the Food Court where sam­pling of con­fec­tioner­ies and choco­lates were con­ducted. Adding to this, Gan­dour Choco­lates dis­trib­uted sam­ples of its pop­u­lar Ya­mama Cake & Sa­fari Choco­late Bar to the kids. While pop­u­lar cartoon mas­cot Chota Bheem was an added at­trac­tion for chil­dren as it moved around pro­mot­ing its an­i­mated en­ter­tain­ment se­ries and movies along with dis­play of standees.

Thus in the near fu­ture sim­i­lar suc­cess­ful model ac­tiv­i­ties may be­come more vis­i­ble in the dif­fer­ent other air­ports cel­e­brat­ing the true cul­ture of our national fes­ti­vals
