Hyderabad airport goes festive
On the occasion of Ugadi, a slew of innovative activities were done at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad throughout the duration of the festival from 7th to 16th April 2013. Atin Promotions & Advertising Pvt. Ltd. and Associated Advertising came up with this innovative approach to celebrate Ugadi and wish the passengers at the same time. The airport wore a festive look as a part of these celebrations while the passengers were greeted at the departure entrance with a colourful rangoli pattern decorated around beautiful lit urlis. From AC vents to walls and to scaffoldings, the total area was ornamented ZLWK IHVWRRQV RI flRZHUV, PDQJR OHDYHV DQG VWUHDPHUV to give the traditional festive touch. A beautiful welcome arch adorned with garland of flRZHUV, WDOO YDVHV KROGLQJ ERXTXHWV DQG flRZLQJ FORWK GUDSHV DW WKH VHFXULWy FKHFN DQG D ELJ fiEUH NDODVK having elaborate design bearing a giant coconut were all strategically placed to evoke an appealing atmosphere. All lifts, pillars, boarding gates, baggage retrieval areas were decorated with jute chatais and mauli decorations VR WKDW WKH HQWLUH DUHD JRW fiOOHG ZLWK GLIIHUHQW FRORXUV WR augment the festive look. The experiential zones linked with the Ugadi festival has been created to connect with the passengers and enhance the importance of the celebrations. For example, a photo booth was set up by IndiaFirst, the main sponsor for the event, with arrangements made to get oneself clicked in traditional attire. In keeping with the Ugadi custom, a Tarot Card reader was present to foretell fortune in the days to come. To complete the festival spirit, a special area was earmarked near the Food Court where sampling of confectioneries and chocolates were conducted. Adding to this, Gandour Chocolates distributed samples of its popular Yamama Cake & Safari Chocolate Bar to the kids. While popular cartoon mascot Chota Bheem was an added attraction for children as it moved around promoting its animated entertainment series and movies along with display of standees.
