Barracuda Backup Virtual Appliance (Vx) is a software solution, hence deploying it in virtual environment won’t take long. You just require your virtual machine, where you can install the solution and then follow the instructions to set-it-up. The virtual environments leverage existing compute and storage infrastructures as well as optimizes local storage and bandwidth requirements with reduplication and compression.

Barracuda Backup Vx lets you choose whether to replicate to the Barracuda Cloud or to a virtual receiver. Replication to the Barracuda Cloud includes “Unlimited” Cloud Storage and extended retention through offsite vaulting. It uses both inline target-based nonduplication and compression to reduce storage and bandwidth requirements, and easily scale storage as data grows, eliminating the need for forklift upgrades.
Smooth, Satisfactory Performer: Setting up the backup took 15 minutes, including the entire process from installation to adding it into our own environment. Though it can vary depending on the expertise and requirements, yet Barracuda kept it simple to operate. You get almost every option on the screen. Whether you want to setup for cloud or local, you have to just add your machine and then follow the instructions.
Once you have installed the backup Vx on the virtual environment, now to add another machine for the backup, you get another software that let two machines communicate
