Older LED TV models have always been plagued by the quality of video signals they receive as well as the inherent technology on which they work. So, on the one hand you have high-definition range compatible TVs that could only display as black an image or as white image as the quality of video signal beamed by the broadcaster, while on the other hand you high-definition video signals that struggle to be reproduced accurately due to limitations with LED quality. At CES 2017, Samsung unveiled the flat 88” Q9F TV and 65” Q8C TVs with enhanced quantum dot quality to provide more pure colors (true RGB) as well as strengthen their durability and energy efficiency. Samsung has worked to amplify the brightness of the QLED TVs, from 1000 nits up to 1500 nits. The 50% increase in brightness makes HDR content better any form: movies, live TV, or games. Samsung also revealed collaborations with 4K HDR providers to offer highquality content that maximizes the highperformance features of their QLED TVs.
