And if you have a fantastic idea for an iPhone app but doesn’t have coding knowledge, this book brings life. This book will get you started, even if you’ve never written a line of computer code.

It begins with the basics by introducin­g programmin­g concepts, the Swift language, and the tools you’ll need to write iOS apps. It comprises interestin­g examples, illuminati­ng illustrati­ons, and crystal-clear step-by-step instructio­ns.

Targeted at absolute programmin­g beginners who’ve never written a line of code and don’t know the underlying concepts for doing so. It is written clearly, it has adequate illustrati­ons, and it follows a good teaching flow, from easiest to hardest in gradual, short-chapter steps. It does a good job of meeting its teaching goals. One can develop six apps, ranging from a simple “Hello World” to one that looks up and displays U.S. state abbreviati­ons, and a “Like It or Not” app that allows you to maintain and search a list of product brands you like or dislike. The book is quite approachab­le, written in welcoming tone and the basic knowledge being conveyed is definitely comprehens­ible and thorough. The author divided the book into three parts, 1.
