How do you plan to have greater mar­ket pen­e­tra­tion in the In­dian en­ter­prise seg­ment? What will be your strat­egy to strengthen Belden’s pres­ence in In­dia?

Belden has of­fices in ma­jor cities like Ben­galuru, Mum­bai, Gur­gaon and Chen­nai along with a vast net­work of chan­nel part­ners to bet­ter serve its cus­tomers and their mar­kets. By plac­ing a fo­cus on spe­cific mar­ket seg­ments for growth and ac­cel­er­at­ing the shift to new busi­ness mod­els, we are equipped to de­liver tai­lored so­lu­tions, to en­able new busi­ness op­por­tu­ni­ties.

There is a grow­ing de­mand for high-speed net­work in­fra­struc­ture. The ris­ing use of HD con­tent, voice & data ser­vices and re­mote ac­cess of ap­pli­ca­tions will con­tinue to drive the de­mand for struc­tured ca­bling in the com­ing years. To ad­dress en­ter­prises and SME sec­tor across all key ver­ti­cals, we have an ex­ten­sive prod­uct-line and work­ing to­wards build­ing a strong net­work of part­ners, re­sellers and value added dis­trib­u­tors.

To fur­ther con­sol­i­date Belden’s mar­ket po­si­tion in In­dia, what will be your of­fer­ings in terms of the prod­ucts/ so­lu­tions?

As an in­dus­try leader with an ex­ten­sive cop­per & fiber ca­ble and con­nec­tiv­ity port­fo­lio, Belden is uniquely po­si­tioned to pro­vide com­plete so­lu­tion,

right from plan­ning to post-in­stal­la­tion pro­cesses of in­fra­struc­ture net­works, help­ing to in­crease up­time and se­cu­rity whilst re­duc­ing op­er­at­ing costs and cap­i­tal ex­pen­di­ture.

Belden places em­pha­sis on spe­cific in­dus­try ver­ti­cals and en­ables large en­ter­prise, SMEs, IT / ITES, BFSI, hos­pi­tal­ity, health­care, gov­ern­ment, ed­u­ca­tion and man­u­fac­tur­ing cus­tomers to ac­cel­er­ate their dig­i­tal evo­lu­tion. Belden will fo­cus on de­liv­er­ing in­no­va­tive tech­nol­ogy that sim­plify IT in­fra­struc­ture and en­able new busi­ness en­vi­ron­ments. Belden’s prod­ucts / so­lu­tions of­fer­ings for the In­dian mar­ket: Belden has got more than 100 year legacy in the In­dus­try for of­fer­ing sig­nal trans­mis­sion so­lu­tions. From the En­ter­prise & Broad­cast AV Busi­ness unit, we of­fer end to end ca­bling and con­nec­tiv­ity so­lu­tions. Our award win­ning REV Con­nect so­lu­tion is well ac­cepted by our cus­tomers and the de­mand is grow­ing day by day. We do of­fer Racks & cab­i­nets along with PDUs as part of our so­lu­tions.

What are your pri­or­i­ties for the In­dian mar­ket? What new op­por­tu­ni­ties do you see in this dy­nam­i­cally grow­ing re­gion?

Au­toma­tion and or­ches­tra­tion are be­com­ing high pri­or­i­ties for In­dian CIOs and to ad­dress this, highly re­li­able net­works are needed. Tre­men­dous growth in mo­bil­ity and in­creased adop­tion of uni­fied com­mu­ni­ca­tions, cloud com­put­ing and col­lab­o­ra­tion ser­vices of­fer huge op­por­tu­ni­ties. In­dia is a promis­ing IT in­fra­struc­ture mar­ket and growth is ex­pected to be trig­gered by in­vest­ment in the ar­eas of con­ver­gence, mo­bil­ity, an­a­lyt­ics and vir­tu­al­iza­tion. En­ter­prise net­work­ing is a key seg­ment and data cen­ter mod­ern­iza­tion ini­tia­tives is con­tribut­ing largely to its growth, as In­dian en­ter­prises are fo­cus­ing on build­ing in­tel­li­gent data cen­tre’s while op­ti­miz­ing ex­ist­ing hard­ware as­sets. We are im­prov­ing our dis­tri­bu­tion net­work across the coun­try. We have also strength­ened our lo­gis­tics and cus­tomer sup­port ac­tiv­i­ties with a large bonded ware­house in In­dia. We have an ex­pe­ri­enced and big­ger team to man­age or­der ful­fill­ments for a seam­less ex­e­cu­tion of the or­ders aim­ing the best cus­tomer ex­pe­ri­ence. We are ca­pa­ble of han­dling from a small project to large cam­pus LANs with lo­cal stocks/timely de­liv­er­ies. Our war­ranty sys­tem pro­vides a true 25 years as­sur­ance of qual­ity to our cus­tomers.

What are the cur­rent part­ner­ships you have in In­dia?

Our part­ners play a sig­nif­i­cant role in help­ing cus­tomers choose the right so­lu­tion and de­ploy it. We con­tin­u­ously work to­wards em­pow­er­ing our chan­nel part­ners with a wide and unique port­fo­lio of prod­ucts and so­lu­tions.

In­gram Mi­cro is our na­tional dis­trib­u­tor for en­ter­prise busi­ness seg­ment and we have re­gional dis­trib­u­tors in all ma­jor cities in In­dia & SAARC. We have trained and cer­ti­fied more than 100 well known es­tab­lished sys­tem in­te­gra­tors spread across the coun­try. We also have set of dis­trib­u­tors who are spe­cial­ized to cater the BAV ca­bles & con­nec­tors for In­dian mar­ket. We of­fer our part­ners, ex­cep­tional train­ing & ed­u­ca­tion, prod­uct demon­stra­tions, tech­ni­cal & pre-sales sup­port and lead cre­ation. We are fo­cus­ing sig­nif­i­cantly on de­vel­op­ing our chan­nel eco-sys­tem to en­able in­creased mar­ket pen­e­tra­tion across the coun­try.

There is a lot of push by the Gov­ern­ment of In­dia in de­vel­op­ing smart cities. What op­por­tu­ni­ties do you see in this emerg­ing seg­ment?

In­dia is an im­por­tant and emerg­ing mar­ket in the APAC re­gion and we see tre­men­dous op­por­tu­nity in build­ing the com­mu­ni­ca­tions in­fra­struc­ture for smart cities. The Gov­ern­ment of In­dia vi­sion to im­prove the ICT in­fra­struc­ture of smart cities is aligned with our goals to pro­vide ad­vanced struc­tured ca­bling so­lu­tions to In­dia en­ter­prises. Belden’s ex­ten­sive so­lu­tions port­fo­lio would sup­port the needs for high per­for­mance and emerg­ing ap­pli­ca­tion re­quire­ments of smart cities and de­liver ad­vanced com­mu­ni­ca­tions in­fra­struc­ture.
