ZEBRONICS ZEB-ENVY REVIEW
Zebronics brings a new pair of headphones with an attractive design. It looks nice and trendy, has a detachable mic and foldable design, enabling you to carry the headphones easily in your bags. The Zeb-Envy comes with 33 hours of playback time which is seriously impressive, but would it translate the same in our testing, let’s find out…
Build quality
Zebronics Zeb-Envy has minimalistic design ethics. Its earcups have a hexagon shape exterior hosting LED lights. There is a button to control the LED lights of the earcups and it has three different light modes that looks cool especially in the dark.
The headband is made of steel and allows you to adjust the size as per your comfort. The inner cushioning is perfectly fine to wear it for longer hours. The earcups are comfortable to wear and good for noise isolation, as well. The detachable mic has good length with a rigid design enabling to bent it easily.
The control buttons are placed on the right earcup – volume rocker and track change, play/pause, and power on/off and LED control switch. And a USB port is located next to AUX port to charge the headphone.
Performance
Pairing the Zebronics Zeb-Envy is quite easy as like other Bluetooth headphones, just power-on your phone’s Bluetooth and the headphone. Look for the Zeb-Envy to connect the headphone.
Zeb-Envy is lightweight, only 238 grams, and equipped with Bluetooth version 4.2. The wireless range of the headphone is 10 meters. In the real world, the connectivity was perfectly fine within eight meters of range and then there was a little drop.
The earcups hold 40mm driver with 32 Impedance and 20Hz – 20kHz frequency response. To test this headphone, we used test tracks: Angel of Mercy by Black Label Society, Stadium Arcadium, brutal bass drops, trance music and Bollywood romantic and dance songs.
The Zebronics Zeb-Envy headphones deliver a balanced sound and its frequency distribution is also well managed. On tracks with intense sub-bass content like Titanium by David Guetta which features dance club style beats, the headphone performed well pushing the appreciable amount of bass. Sia’s vocals were clearly audible in between the bass of this electric pop song.
The mids sound clear and warm and provide enough detailing to keep enjoy favorite music. At the highest volume, the headphone provides an ample amount of loudness and at the same level, we found some amount of noise leakage too.

Battery life
Zebronics claims to offer 33 hours of battery life. We tested the battery life in our real-world loop test. We fully charged the headphone and then played different genres of music on full volume. It was able to deliver more than 14 hours of playback in one full charge, which is not close to 33 hours, yet impressive.
