In­dian so­ci­ety re­mains largely ho­mo­pho­bic be­cause we are highly tra­di­tional with strong fam­ily val­ues [My Child Is Gay, July]. Can we call it a fam­ily if two same-sex peo­ple live to­gether? Does it have any fu­ture? Same sex mar­riages are not go­ing to help—in­stead they will cre­ate prob­lems.
