VERDICT

The Pentax D FA70-200mm F/2.8 ED DC AW lens is very well constructed and has a very sturdy tripod mount. Autofocussing is fast (also depends on the body) and the image quality is good. The fact that it does not offer image stabilisation is no cause for concern as the K1 body offers 5-axis Shake Reduction feature. Compared to the competition, the lens is heavy but its superb construction means that it should offer you trouble-free service for a number of years. Best Buy!
