There seems to be no end in sight for our needs for speed and storage capacity. With camera companies edging closer to realising practical 8K video recording, the current standards of write speed and storage capacity are fast becoming redundant. Enter Kingston Canvas React Plus SD XC memory cards, and on our test bench, is the Canvas React Plus Kit, which combines the memory card along with a fast MobileLite Plus UHS-II SD reader.

The Canvas React Plus SD XC card is designed for 4K and 8K professional cinema cameras, which require blazing fast recording. These Class 10 cards are UHS-II standard and conform to U3 and V90 speed classes. V90 indicates the fastest in video speed class, which is a minimum sequential write speed of 90MB per second, which can comfortably record 8K videos (8K requires minimum 60MB per second write speed). In fact, the Canvas React Plus SD cards can deliver maximum write speeds up to 260 MB per second and read speeds up to 300 MB per second in favourable host environment. Please note that the actual speeds also depend on the bus speed of host devices.

The included MobileLite Plus UHS-II SD reader helps you realise these speeds even while transferring images and footage via a USB 3.1 port. The card is available in 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB capacities and carries a lifetime warranty. The card reader has a warranty of two years. The Canvas React Plus kit retails at an MRP of Rs.10,800 and is available at most retail outlets.
