Vivo Expands Y-Series Portfolio

Vivo has expanded its 5G portfolio in India with the launch of Vivo Y72. Commenting on the launch, Nipun Marya, DirectorBr­and Strategy, Vivo India said, “Vivo’s youthful Y-series is designed for millennial­s who are on the search for a smartphone that meets their expectatio­ns for an immersive experience. With this launch, we continue to build a strong portfolio providing customers with a vast selection of smartphone­s across price points and an unmatched shopping experience.”

The device features an ultra slim 5.71 mm thin frame, accompanie­d by a lightweigh­t body of 185.5 g with thickness of 8.4 mm. The rear cameras are organised within a rectangula­r ring on a 2.5D back cover. It boasts a 16.71 cm FHD+ (2400*1080) Incell display that supports high colour saturation and also includes a fast and accurate side fingerprin­t sensor. The Y72 sports the dual camera with a 48MP main camera and is packed with features like Super Night Mode, Personalis­ed portraits, Face Beauty for video calls and Super HDR. It also comes with a 5000mAh battery and 18W FlashCharg­e. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G Mobile Platform and offers 90Hz refresh rate.

It comes with Funtouch OS 11.1, based on the latest Android 11 and the Extended RAM feature provides extra ROM space upto 4GB. The Ultra Game Mode has been newly updated and includes features such as 4D Game Vibration and Esports Mode. Additional­ly, the Multi-Turbo 5.0 reportedly optimises system processes and preloads apps that you frequently use. The Vivo Y72 will be available in two colour options i.e. Prism Magic and Slate Grey on Vivo India E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, Bajaj EMI Store and across all partner retail stores at a price of INR 20,990.
