Can you please list the Test matches that India has lost under Virat Kohli’s leadership. Is this the first occasion that India has lost a Test by an innings under him?

— R. Bharath, Coimbatore

Since December 2014, Virat Kohli has captained India on 37 occasions and has an impressive record of 21 wins, seven losses and nine draws. This is the first time the side has lost by an innings under his captaincy.

(see table below)

R. Ashwin topscored in each innings of the Test match at Lord’s. Is he the first Indian to do so while batting at No. 8?

— Sahil Ghosh, Kolkata

R. Ashwin is not only the first Indian but the first Asian to achieve this feat by a batsman batting at No. ■ or lower. Incidentally, he is the fifth batsman in Test cricket history to do so and the first at Lord’s.

matches at Lord’s?

Chris Woakes joined four other players — England’s Gubby Allen in 1936, Australian Keith Miller (1956), Englishmen Ian Botham (197■) and Stuart Broad (2012) — to achieve this rare feat at Lord’s during a Test career.

In the recently concluded Oneday International series in Sri Lanka, South Africa keeper Quinton de Kock took 15 catches. Is this the most in a bilateral series?

Note:

— S. Rajan, Nagpur

Quinton de Kock’s 15 dismissals (14 catches and one stumping) is now the third best by a wicketkeeper in a fivematch bilateral ODI series after Australian Brad Haddin’s 17 dismissals (16 catches and one stumping) against Pakistan in 200910 at home and South African Mark Boucher’s 16 catches against Pakistan in 200607 at home.
