ORDERS FOR CSERIES AIRCRAFT FOR BOMBARDIER

An order from Delta Air Lines for up to 125 CSeries aircraft was confirmed by Bombardier in April this year. Bombardier described the Delta deal as a strong endorsement of the CSeries. The order is the largest yet for the CSeries and is for 75 CS100 aircraft with options for an additional 50. Based on list price, the firm order is valued at $5.6 billion. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2018. Bombardier said that with this latest order, the programme is expected to enter service with a backlog of more than 300 aircraft or up to 800 including all options and commitments.
