Raj Nath Singh (born July 10, 1951) is the Min­is­ter of Home Af­fairs in the Naren­dra Modi Govern­ment. He is also the Pres­i­dent of Bharatiya Janata Party. Raj Nath Singh was born in a small vil­lage of Bhab­haura in Chan­dauli district of Ut­tar Pradesh in a Ra­jput fam­ily. He holds a masters de­gree in physics, ac­quir­ing first di­vi­sion re­sults from Go­rakh­pur Univer­sity. He was the Chief Min­is­ter of Ut­tar Pradesh from Oc­to­ber 18, 2000, to March 8, 2002.
