BAE Sys­tems and Terma to ex­plore col­lab­o­ra­tion

BAE Sys­tems and Terma A/S an­nounced at DSEi, the sign­ing of a mem­o­ran­dum of un­der­stand­ing (MoU) to ex­plore po­ten­tial col­lab­o­ra­tions within the field of air­craft sur­viv­abil­ity equip­ment in­clud­ing 3D-au­dio and ac­tive noise re­duc­tion, elec­tron­ics man­u­fac­tur­ing, naval radars and radar an­tenna de­sign and air­craft com­pos­ite struc­tures.

Jens Maaløe, Pres­i­dent and CEO, Terma, said: “We see po­ten­tially strong syn­er­gies be­tween our com­pa­nies. Terma’s aero­space ex­pe­ri­ence within com­pos­ites struc­tures tech­nol­ogy, and elec­tronic war­fare equip­ment in­clud­ing 3D-au­dio and ac­tive noise re­duc­tion high-end tech­nol­ogy pro­vide promis­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties for col­lab­o­ra­tion. Based on the ac­tual MoU, we look for­ward to com­bin­ing BAE and our core ca­pa­bil­i­ties and to in­ves­ti­gat­ing a shared num­ber of ex­cit­ing busi­ness op­por­tu­ni­ties in the in­ter­na­tional mar­ket.”

This agree­ment broad­ens the scope of po­ten­tial co­op­er­a­tion across other ar­eas of our global de­fence and se­cu­rity busi­ness.”

If BAE Sys­tems is suc­cess­ful in Den­mark’s cur­rent Ar­moured Per­son­nel Car­rier (APC) pro­gramme, then Dan­ish in­dus­try will play an in­te­gral role in our CV90 Ar­madillo of­fer­ing to the Dan­ish Army.
