A400M “Ville d’Or­léans” wins air­wor­thi­ness cer­tifi­cate

On Fe­bru­ary 18, at Air Base 123 at Or­léans, Gen. Hervé Rameau, head of the Di­rec­tion de la Sécu­rité Aéro­nau­tique d’Etat (French state air­wor­thi­ness board, DSAé) of­fi­cially handed over to Lt Colonel Paul Creuset, com­man­der of the Multi­na­tional En­try into Ser­vice Team (MEST), the cer­tifi­cate of air­wor­thi­ness of the first A400M to en­ter ser­vice with the French air force, MSN07 “Ville d’Or­léans.”

Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion re­quires an in-depth re­view of the air­craft’s tech­ni­cal doc­u­men­ta­tion, and well as a phys­i­cal in­spec­tion, which were both car­ried out by DSAé per­son­nel. SP
