A400M “Ville d’Orléans” wins airworthin­ess certificat­e

On February 18, at Air Base 123 at Orléans, Gen. Hervé Rameau, head of the Direction de la Sécurité Aéronautiq­ue d’Etat (French state airworthin­ess board, DSAé) officially handed over to Lt Colonel Paul Creuset, commander of the Multinatio­nal Entry into Service Team (MEST), the certificat­e of airworthin­ess of the first A400M to enter service with the French air force, MSN07 “Ville d’Orléans.”

Certificat­ion requires an in-depth review of the aircraft’s technical documentat­ion, and well as a physical inspection, which were both carried out by DSAé personnel. SP
