Verma questions BCCI on Srini

-

The secretary of the unrecognised Cricket Association of Bihar, Aditya Verma, has again questioned the credibility of BCCI and ICC when he spoke exclusively to this newspaper.

Apart from taking on N. Srinivasan again, he accused Amitabh Choudhary, the Jharkhand cricket body’s chief for helping Srinivasan to reach Ranchi and stay in the Radisson Blue hotel where the CSK players were staying.

“I have sent a letter to Mr. Gavaskar on this and am waiting for his reply. Amitabh Choudhary received Srinivasan in Ranchi Airport and he stayed in Radisson Blue hotel with CSK cricketers and also watched the match in the stadium,” said Verma adding, “Srinivasan had a secret meeting with all the state officials apart from Bengal in Ranchi which is against the Supreme Court verdict.”

He trashed the BCCI and made it clear that the board was doing nothing but following Srinivasan’s orders when he made the statement that “BCCI equals Srinivasan and Srinivasan equals BCCI”. The shocked and angry Verma also said, “cricket is a religion in this country and Srinivasan and Co. are ruining the game and playing with people’s sentiments. They are cheaters.”

Verma has sent three letters to the International Cricket Council and is yet to get any reply. “ICC’s full form is India Cement Cricket. All the ICC members are corrupted and Srinivasan has bought all of them and therefore the ICC is allowing him to attend meetings.

“This is against the SC verdict,” charged Verma. “Srinivasan is the boss of Indian cricket and due to him Bihar Cricket Association is not getting the recognition.” When asked about his next course of action and if he would move the court against this, Verma said, “Whatever my lawyer tells me, I will do. I am waiting for the final verdict.”

He also sounded very low about Sunil Gavaskar being the IPL chief. “He is a cricketer and not an administrator. But if everything goes well this season then it is good for cricket.”
