In a case of bag lifting, two bike- borne assailants robbed a jeweller of his bag containing ornaments worth 1 crore near Rajghat in central district. The police said that the one of the assailants first distracted the 44- year- old jeweller, identified as Shubham, and then the other one made away with the bag. Shubham runs a jewellery shop in Chandni Chowk and was going to Karol Bagh on Friday evening in his car being driven by his driver. “When they reached near Rajghat, two motorcycle- borne youth signalled them to stop saying that their car’s tyre had deflated. When the duo stopped the car and came out to check the pillion rider picked the bag from the car and the duo fled the spot,” a senior police officer said.
