3 ‘exorcists’ arrested for molesting woman

Ghaziabad: Three men, claiming to be exorcists, were arrested for allegedly molesting a Delhi woman in Mohan Nagar area of the district, the police said on Sunday. The married woman, who is a resident of Bhajanpura area of the national capital, had been having trouble conceiving for past seven years and had approached the “tantriks” at their office near MMX Mall in Mohan Nagar area after reading an advertisement, SHO Upendra Yadav said. During a meeting on Saturday, the exorcists tried to molest the woman, the SHO said, adding that they had also allegedly duped her of thousands of rupees. In another incident, a 40- year- old man was on Sunday allegedly abducted and sodomised by two persons in Sihani Gate area here, the police said. DSP Ranvijay Singh said the victim is a resident of Ataour village.
