SP to EC: Ban Yogi from campaign

Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party has written to the Election Commission demanding ban on campaigning by BJP MP Mahant Yogi Adityanath in the upcoming byelections. The SP has accused him of inciting communal passions with his remarks on love jihad. Talking to reporters here on Monday, Samajwadi spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said that the Mahant was deliberately making provocative statements to polarise voters on religious lines and ensure benefit for the BJP in the byelections.
