2 bank se­cu­rity guards shot dead


Bhubaneswa­r: Two se­cu­rity guards de­ployed at the Orissa State Co­op­er­a­tive Bank’s branch in steel city Rourkela, about 350 km from here, died of bul­let in­juries, re­ports said. Ac­cord­ing to the po­lice, the se­cu­rity guards — Parameswar Be­hera and Purna Chan­dra De­huri — were found ly­ing in a pool of blood inside the bank around 7 am and were im­me­di­ately rushed to the Is­pat Ge­neal Ho­pi­tal, where they suc­cumbed to their in­juries. The of­fi­cials of the bank said Parameswar was on the night duty while Purna was sup­posed to do the morn­ing shift at the bank.
