Around 600 Naxal cadres, including three members of Central Committee of banned CPI ( Maoist), have been camping in jungles under Darbha area in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district, preparing to strike in a big way in coming days in the conflict zone, intelligence has alerted.
A senior police officer, quoting intelligence reports, told this newspaper here on Monday that three key Naxal leaders — Ramanna alias Ravulu Srinivas, Devji and Pankaj — were sighted in Darbha jungles being surrounded by a couple of military platoons of the reds in recent times. “More than 600 Naxal cadres including armed guerrillas have assembled in jungles in Darbha area,” he said.
