COPS GET BAIL IN BADAUN GIRLS’ KILLING

Badaun: A local court here Monday granted bail to two police constables who were among the five accused arrested in the alleged rape and murder of two cousin sisters in Katra Saadatganj village here.

Additional sessions judge Anil Kumar granted conditional bail to the two constables, Sarvesh Yadav and Chatrapal Gangwar, arrested along with three others in the case, the counsel of the two, Brahma Singh said.

Both Yadav and Gangwar were granted bail on the condition after giving a personal bond of ` 2 lakh each besides sureties of the same amount, Mr Singh said. Mr Singh said documents relating to the bail would be produced in the court Tuesday and both would be released after their verification although they would have to give an affidavit that in case of any evidence against them in future they would present themselves in court.
