2 injured in firing near Ajmer Sharif

Two persons, including a shooter, were injured on Tuesday in a firing incident at Darga- Bazar ear the famous shrine of Khwaja Moinudeen Chisti in Ajmer, the police said.

Two persons, including a shooter, were injured on Tuesday in a firing incident at Dargah Bazar near the famous shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti’s in Ajmer.

The victim, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, who received bruises in his stomach as a bullet passed grazing his body, was admitted to a government hospital, additional SP, Ajmer, S. Choudhary said. While one of the shooters, identified as Vikas was wounded in his shoulder by a bullet fired by his accomplice Mohammad Abrej, aimed at Ashwani, the ASP said, adding Vikas was also admitted to the government hospital.

Abrej and Vikas were arrested under Section 307 of the IPC for attempt to murder and 3/ 25 of the Arms Act for illegal possession of arms.
