CBI reply sought on Tejinder plea

The Delhi high court on Tuesday sought a response from the CBI on a bail plea of retired Lt. Gen. Tejinder Singh, who was arrested on Monday in the Tatra Truck deal case. Mr Singh had allegedly offered bribe of Rs 14 crore to the then Army Chief Gen. V. K. Singh for clearing file pertaining to procurement of Tatra all- terrain vehicles. The court refused to hear the detailed argument of Mr Singh as it receieved the judicial file only by 3pm on Tuesday. Justice Pratibha Rani said that it would be improper to argue at this stage.
