A sessions court has acquitted a man of the charges of sexually assaulting his 13- yearold daughter after the prosecutrix turned hostile and did not support the prosecution case.

Tis Hazari courts additional sessions judge Rajneesh Kumar Gupta acquitted Mohammed Sallauddin, a resident of North Delhi, from the charges punishable under Sections 376 of the IPC and Section 4 of the POCSOA.

“The prosecutrix has turned hostile and is not supporting the case of prosecution,” the court noted while acquitting Sallauddin.

According to the prosecution, on July 13, 2013, the victim, a student of Class 8, had lodged a case alleging that during the period of 3 to 4 years, her father had repeatedly committed penetrative sexual assault with her by inserting his finger into her private parts.
