Delhi BJP to ‘ expose misrule of AAP govt’

- AGE CORRESPONDENT

On the completion one year in power of the Kejriwal government, the Delhi BJP is all set to run a two- day programme on Saturday and Sunday to “expose the total failure and misrule of the AAP government.”

Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said on Saturday, the Delhi BJP would release a report card of the Kejriwal government based on a proper survey carried out by an independent women’s organisation and on Sunday, the party would hold a massive rally at Parliament Street to be addressed by senior BJP leaders and parliamentarians. “Thereafter, during the next 12 days. the BJP district units and morchas will launch public interaction programmes to highlight the failures of the Kejriwal government to the masses,” said Mr Upadhyay.

“The Kejriwal government’s commitment to fight corruption stands exposed. On one hand, elected representatives of Mr Kejriwal’s party are being regularly caught for involvement in corruption scams & frauds and on the other, the failure to act against corrupt officials too raises suspicion,” Mr Upadhyay said.

He claimed it is really shocking that the file of Rakesh Kumar’s suspension is being withheld by the deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia for last six days despite the recommendation of the excise commissioner, raising suspicion as to who is protecting the assistant commissioner.

Meanwhile, the BJP workers led a demonstration in Chandni Chowk district led by district president Suman Kumar Gupta and state unit’s vice- president Jai Prakash near the residence of Delhi minister Imran Hussain to demand his resignation.

Mr Upadhyay has demanded a clarification from the Delhi government as to how an ineligible officer has been appointed to such a sensitive seat and why a corrupt officials suspension is been withheld.
