It’s a well- known fact that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is quite the bibliophile. At a recent media event for a live entertainment application, he spoke about a few of his favourite books. The superstar said that the biography of Apple co- founder Steve Jobs changed his ideas about business. The book, says the 50- year- old actor, made him realise people should focus only on one thing at a time and that idea changed the direction of his own company, Red Chillies Entertainment.

“At Red Chillies Entertainment, I was involved in multiple businesses. But after reading the book ( on Steve Jobs), I realised that focusing only on one thing will help,” SRK said, adding, “So, we stopped TV and ad production and focused entirely on films and visual effects,” the actor said at a media event for a live entertainment application. Shah Rukh does add that he doesn’t agree with all the rules given in the book.

He went on to reveal quite a few of his choices, one of them being Malcolm Gladwell’s book Blink, which he says, is about doing business. “The book explains that in a competition, the guy who blinks first loses first.” The Fan actor also recommended Blake Snyder’s Save The Cat for all aspiring writers. “This is one of the best books on screenplay writing that I have read so far.”

In fiction he did mention that he had started to read E. L. James’ best- selling erotic- romance Fifty Shades of Grey, way back when he was shooting for the late Yash Chopra’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan in London. But he is yet to finish reading it.
