At the launch of Sania Mirza’s autobiography Ace Against Odds, Shah Rukh Khan was all praise for the tennis star. Sania, who is friends with several biggies in the industry, roped in King Khan to launch her first book and the latter seemed only too happy to be the chosen one. The book captures Sania’s journey of becoming World No. 1 player in women’s doubles and the roadblocks that she encountered while realising her dream. SRK feels any movie made on the tennis star will be an inspiring one.

He said, “I think as a film it would be fantastic. And maybe I’ll ask her if she’d let me play her love interest. But I will produce it for sure.” Shah Rukh added that Indian films based on the lives of sports stars will soon start making a mark internationally. “Somehow these films make us feel extremely patriotic. Besides a few sports, our country has not made a mark internationally. Inshallah that will happen

I have followed Sania’s career very closely and she has brought so much beauty to the game

very soon, as things are progressing,” he said.

SRK further added that he has followed Sania’s career closely and that he’s in awe of her determination. “I have always followed her ( Sania’s) career and she has brought so much freshness and so much beauty to the game.”

Speaking of the book, the superstar added, “I think a book like this will obviously inspire a lot of us. Her experiences are vital to understand how you fight the forces that go against you. There can be no obstacles when you have the determination. I feel there should be a second part to this book.”
