TRUCK RAMS INTO BIKE; 2 KILLED, 1 HURT

New Delhi: Two bikers lost their lives and one suffered injuries when their motorcycle was hit by a speeding truck at Alipur area of Outer Delhi on Friday. One of the victims, Sandeep, died on the spot, while Rampuneet succumbed to injuries in a nearby hospital. The third victim, Chunmun, is said to be critical. The accident took place near Bakoli bus stand. According to the police, an eyewitness, who was on another motorcycle, said that the trio had stopped their motorcycle near the Karnal bypass red light when the errant truck driver ran into them. The eyewitness chased the truck and with the help of the traffic police, the accused driver identified as Lihiq Ahmed was overpowere­d and apprehende­d. All three victims are natives of Bihar.
