L& T posts higher Q1 net profits

New Delhi: Larsen & Toubro ( L& T) on Friday reported a 46 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at 610 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016. The firm had clocked a net profit of 419 crore in the year- ago period, it said in a regulatory filing. Total income of the firm rose 9 per cent to 21,874 crore in April- June quarter this fiscal from 20,048 crore during the same quarter in 2015- 16. Company’s total expenses increased to 20,434 crore from 18,873 crore during the same period in the previous financial year.
