- AGE CORRESPONDENT

Three cousin- sisters, who had gone missing from their homes on Friday evening, were found dead in Bareilly on Saturday afternoon.

Panic gripped the area as the news of the suspected triple murder spread like wildfire. The bodies of the three cousins, who were from Saijana village in Meerganj, were found floating in the Bhakda river in Pahadpur village.

The police suspect it to be a case of triple murder and have not ruled out the possibility of the three having been raped. According to the information provided by the Bareilly police, the girls had gone out to relieve themselves on Friday and did not return home.

Their family members tried to search for them in the village but did not find them. On Saturday morning, the body of one of the victims was found floating in the Bhakhda river.

Later in the day, the bodies of the two other girls were also found floating in the same river by locals.

Senior police officials rushed to the spot for further investigations.
