12- year- old raped by 5 in Lucknow

A 12- year- old girl was allegedly gangraped by five men in Lucknow on Tuesday morning. Over two dozen unidentified miscreants forced their way into the victim’s house and after looting valuables, they held the family hostage and beat them up.

The five of the accused then took the girl to a secluded spot where they raped her by turns. “The girl has told me that she was raped by five men. The incident took place at about 600- 700 metres away from the girl’s house. We are probing the matter and a team has been constituted to crack the case,” SSP Manzil Saini told reporters.

The miscreants also beat up the victim's father who sustained head injury.

The girl has been admitted to a hospital since her condition is said to be serious and a medical examination report is awaited.
