Uzbek stabbed by Afghans in S-E Delhi

- AGE CORRESPONDENT

A 35-year-old Uzbek woman was allegedly stabbed by a group of Afghan nationals, including a 15-year-old girl, in southeast Delhi’s Amar Colony in connection with an alleged illicit relationship. She was stabbed in her stomach in the Lajpath Nagar area and is stable now, the police said on Tuesday.

The victim, identified as Zarina, was stabbed on Sunday night by a minor and two of her friends, identified as Abdullah and Shorab, aged 27 years, said a senior police official.

”The dispute allegedly originated over Zarina informing her friend Roshini about her husband’s illicit affair with the minor.”

“The 15-year-old got to know about Zarina’s involvement and roped in two of her friends and attacked Zarina,” he added.

When the 15-year-old was escaping in a car with her accomplices, a passerby saw them and thought that the girl had been kidnapped by the boys, the police said.

He made a PCR call and police intercepted the vehicle on Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, said the official. It was later found during interrogation and through a series of calls that they were involved in a case of stabbing and the girl had not been kidnapped, he added.

Zarina is currently admitted to AIIMS and is out of danger.
