No J-Lo or Jay Z, it is just Trump by himself
Los Angeles, Nov. 6: Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has taken a jibe at his rival Hillary Clinton, claiming he does not want big celebrities like Jennifer Lopez or Jay Z for his campaigning.
The 70-year-old politician has boasted that he is looking forward to the closing days of the presidential race all by himself and does not need support of a film star or musician like Ms Clinton does, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
While touring rural areas to promote his economic and security proposals in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Mr Trump said, “I didn’t have to bring J-Lo or Jay Z. I am here all by myself. Just me. No guitar, no piano, no nothing.”
Mr Trump’s comment came after singer Beyonce and her rapper husband Jay Z performed a free concert for Clinton at Ohio.
Standing onstage with the celebrity couple, Ms Clinton, 69, lavished praise on them and asked thousands of cheering fans for their votes. “Please take this energy out with you. Help us win Ohio,” she screamed.
Meanwhile, three days before the election, pop singer Katy Perry gave a Philadelphia performance Saturday hoping to boost the Democrat’s momentum. Superstar Jennifer Lopez headlined a recent Miami concert hoping to rally voters for Ms Clinton, and Friday night the US Secret Service said 10,000 hip hop fans turned out in Cleveland, Ohio for a free star-studded concert headlined by couple Beyonce and Jay Z.
