Man kills friend for misbehavin­g with girlfriend

Case cracked within 3 hours

Enraged over misbehavio­ur with his girlfriend, a 21-year-old youth bludgeoned his friend to death in Sarai Rohilla on Sunday night.

In a quick action, the Delhi police successful­ly cracked the murder case within three hours and arrested the youth.

The deceased Pawan, was working as a security guard with Nav Bharti Senior Secondary School while the accused, identified as Rohit, were frinds and knew each other. Investigat­ions revealed that Rohit was in love with a girl living in the same locality where the accused and the deceased lived.

However, the friendship between Pawan and Rohit turned bloody when on Sunday night, Rohit came to the school and asked Pawan to allow his girlfriend and him access inside the school as the lovers wanted to spend sometime. Pawan was on his duty at the said school, when at about 9.30 pm, the lovers asked Pawan to let them in as they were looking for a safe place. Pawan agreed on it and allowed to provide a safe shelter to the lovers. Elated over it, Rohit went and brought his girlfriend to the school around 10.30 pm.

But, the situation slipped out of hand when Pawan approached the duo who were sitting in the park and started touching his girlfriend with malified intention. In his confession to the police, Rohit stated that when he objected for the same, scuffle broke out between the two and in a fit of rage, he picked-up a heavy stone and bludegeone­d the deceased twice.

The duo then fled from the spot. The murder came to light around 11 pm when a person noticed Pawan’s body and alerted the police station.
