A school student was killed and another was injured in a bee attack in Dalhikhatri area under Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district, police said Sunday. The body of the deceased was found on Dalhikhatri hills early Sunday. According to police, 32 students of Ghughri high school had gone to the hills for an outing Saturday along with their teachers. They were suddenly attacked by bees late Saturday evening. All but two of the picnickers had escaped the attack by running to a safe place. The local administration had launched a search operation in the area to locate the two missing students. Later, the search party spotted the missing students. However, one of them was found dead and the other in a semi-conscious state. The deceased has been identified as Chaman Ram Nagvamsi. The injured, identified as Madho Kumar, was admitted in hospital, Bagicha police station in-charge M.J. Fardosi said. Doctors said bee stings can kill a person if the dose of the toxin is very high.
