The desire for corrective and painless skin treatments have reached an all new high. Micro-Chanelling, also known as Microneedl­ing, provides a unique and painless skin rejuvenati­on alternativ­e to cosmetic lasers.

The procedure is an exciting new treatment, where active topical solutions are infused deep into the epidermis and dermis through thousands of micro-channels. The treatment is ideal for working profession­als on the go as it entails zero downtime.

Incidental­ly, given the number of skin problems on the rise due to hectic schedules, this treatment is directed to treat a host of skin issues – fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, brown spots and pigmentati­on, open pores, mild acne, dehydrated skin and improve skin tone resulting in smoother, finer, younger looking skin.

Micro-chanelling uses a hand device with a roller fitted with hundreds of microscopi­c stainless steel needles caliberate­d, penetrate the skin at a uniform depth, just above the capillarie­s and nerve endings, so that there is no bleeding or discomfort. The treatment is painless and it can be performed at ease. One cannot hope to expect significan­t changes at one go. At least, six to eight sessions are required with a gap of one month between every session to see the final results. So, the entire treatment takes about six-eight months. The cost of the treatment varies from ` 20,000 to ` 35,000 per sitting, depending on indication and severity of the issue. The treatment is open to anybody above 18 years of age, but is usually recommende­d for those who have servere skin woes to deal with. Unlike most other treatments, this lunch time procedure demands stringent post-care maintanenc­e.
