C’garh Naxals kill jawan on vacation

Bhopal: Suspected Maoists on Wednesday barged into the house of a policeman in a village in Chhattisga­rh’s south Bastar district of Bijapur and sprayed bullets on him in front of his family members, leaving him dead. According to a senior district police officer, the slain cop, identified as Tarun Sori, was on leave to visit his family members in his village of Faresgarh in the district. He was posted in Faresgarh police station, nearly 60 km from his village. In another incident, five rebels were arrested following a search operation by security forces in Bastar district on Wednesday.
